The Pup

With her silly snout, she looked at me, the simplest things

Talking to me with her stare, communicating she was

Awaiting my next move, she stared a bit longer

She tastes her lips, waiting, just waiting

With a jump off her bed, she was ready, we were ready

The pup’s day has begun; the simplest things

 

The pup had her routine, forever joyful of the simplest things

With a high pitch voice, I spoke, she jumped of joyfulness

If she could speak, I wonder what she would say, I wonder

Wonderful happiness, not asking for anything in return, I adore

Always positive, always leading the way, the simplest things

 

The companion pup was loved, the simplest things

Playing with her toys, looking up above, she wonders

Waiting for her treats, being a good pup, she was

Loving every second of it, hating when I left, she cries

Until you come back, wonderful to have you back, the simplest things

 

The day moves on, she naps next to you, the simplest things

She shows she loves you and wants to be with you, her stare spoke

Never taking anything for granted, she jumps of joy, a lovable pup

We do everything together, she loves head pats, she smiles

I will forever remember you, enjoy the moment, the simplest things
